After identifying a need, we developed a course sequence to introduce students to foundations of Mandarin Chinese (basic language structure) and cultural understanding in clinical settings. We created a comprehensive set of corresponding materials, including translations of the patient interview script, practice materials, and audio guide. Students also practice conversing.
