Objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) are a valuable assessment format because they require students to demonstrate a wide range of clinical skills. However, grading student patient notes (PNs) from OSCEs is often tedious and resource intensive. Even with training, graders can apply rubrics inconsistently, leading to variability in scores for similar notes. These challenges highlight the need for more efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions.
