Hybrid and hyflex teaching models, which blend online and in-person learning, have become essential in medical education since the pandemic. While these approaches enhance independent learning and problem-solving, they also present challenges in maintaining engagement and long-term knowledge retention. The Community of Inquiry (CoI) Framework, emphasizing cognitive, social, and teaching presence, supports effective hybrid learning environments. This workshop addresses the need for innovative teaching strategies as hybrid models are increasingly integrated into curricula. By focusing on the CoI framework, active learning, and practical tools, participants will develop strategies to create engaging and effective learning experiences for their students, ultimately enhancing the quality of medical education.
