2025 Southern GEA/GSA/OSR Conference

There is not one strictly delineated path toward leadership in academic medicine. With support from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), this project explored the leadership trajectories of senior, family medicine-trained leaders who hold various advanced leadership roles in academic medicine (i.e. deans, associate deans, chairs). The goal of this session is to share our findings in an actionable way to enable attendees to elucidate their own core values as a first step toward advancing their own careers within academic medicine regardless of specialty.
