Oral Presentation: Beyond the Clinic | The Dialectics of Caring: A Qualitative Exploration of Caring Strategies in Clinical Learning Environments

We conducted focus groups with physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, staff, and patients to explore caring actions as well as barriers and facilitators to caring in the clinical learning environment. Results revealed caring within healthcare is a dialectical interaction among systemic, institutional, and interpersonal/individual dimensions that mutually influence one another.
