Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) are roadmaps for growth and development of trainees in undergraduate medical education (UME) and graduate medical education (GME) for their professional development in a conducive learning environment. Many educators and supervisors show behaviors that can be perceived by trainees as micromanaging, microaggressions and/or micro-incivility (3M) in their teaching and supervision. These 3M behaviors are often unintentional with lack of understanding about psychological safety and/or cultural humility, and require better understanding of distribution and patterns that can impact patient wellbeing and safety.
